Alte Schmiede in Reit im Winkl

I can only recommend it! The bruschetta breads in advance were delicious! The cheeseburger was awesome! The steak tastes outstanding! For dessert there was a mango sorbet to melt away. The chef and his friend the waiter - a well-rehearsed dream team. Thank you very much for the fantastic food and great service! :-)

Personally, I have had very good experiences and think that as a guest you should behave in such a way that you are happy to be entertained. This is especially directed against these unfair reviews of the absolutely clueless .. However, without you it would be only half as funny to read reviews .. We can only laugh about it now .. But I wish that at least a little courage finds your way back to them to say what doesn't fit right at the table .. We had an all-round successful evening here (service super friendly, food delicious and the boss very committed and just as friendly) .. Grillhaus zur alten Schmiede, for me the insider tip in Reit im Winkl if you want to eat great meat. Mega friendly service and the boss world class, makes everything possible if you have special requests. All-round successful evening. Gladly again

Very good burgers! The portions are decent and the service excellent. The cook / grill master in particular is very committed and involves the guests. Not the lowest price category, but justified.

Dear hungry people who want to treat themselves to something good, have come to the right place! During our well-deserved 8-day holiday here in Reit we were here three times to eat, not out of boredom, but because we are worth it! Everything was to our satisfaction, the food perfect on point, the friendliness of the staff, the ambience. We are happy to recommend this restaurant and wish everyone who follows our advice a good appetite ... enjoy it!

Haven't been served a perfectly fried piece of tenderloin for ages. Great service, fast service and very friendly. Can only recommend the restaurant. Just crazy

Very good service, hygienic regulations adhered to, and the food ..... a stunner. On grilled goat cheese with walnut and honey, the trio of the bruscetta or the steaks as the main course. Everything is just great. Gladly again

The cheeseburger was really great, perfectly served as medium. Very big portion though, hard to beat! The potatoes came a bit too raw, After telling the very helpful and friendly service staff they were replaced with perfect ones. Even the chef came out to ask wether everything was fine! The Risotto was very very delicious too, the Pfifferlinge were fresh and very nice tasting. Will certainly come back!

We ate burgers on recommendation, which were really great. The steaks we could see at the tables next door looked very nice. Wine partly not available, alternatives were offered. Service very friendly, sometimes a bit overwhelmed and stressed. So we had the impression that as a young couple we were initially being smiled at with our starters and burger orders, the starters were then forgotten at first. In the course of the evening, however, this feeling subsided completely. Food really excellent, we also have to be repeat offenders; next time steak!

We were guests there twice and everything was perfect. The ambience on the terrace was absolutely great, the waiters super nice and courteous and the food was also super great. It's worth spending a little more money here.

Very nice atmosphere, committed and friendly waiters with excellent advice! The quality and taste of the food was very high. Price-performance ratio completely justified! So I can only recommend it. Who is in the area, an absolute must!

Really good meat and friendly staff. Prices are ok taking the quality into account. Only a few parking spots available. Preferably book a table in advance to be sure to enjoy the nice outdoors.

We stayed in the old forge as a family. The food is freshly prepared and is very tasty. The steaks are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The best I've eaten so far. The only disadvantage is that there are no children's meals.

Amazing ? the food was marvellous. Delicious entree and steaks, also it was perfectly cooked. Lovely and nice service too. ? Price and food is great. Also the kitchen is open and you can see how great the guys are cooking. Not to forget the chef himself asks everyone if everything is okay. Great job ?

The best place to eat in Reit im Winkl

We have been visiting Reit im Winkl for over 20 years and never been to the Alte Schmide, big mistake.... Tonight my family and I had dinner there for the first time!!!!! The steaks are amazing and the burgers best we have seen in our lives. Food is prepared in a small open kitchen, the head chef and his 2 assistants were a pleasure to observe, under extreme pressure but remained calm. Table service was also exceptional. We sat in the front dining room in front of the kitchen, exiting and busy which we enjoyed, there is a rear dining room with a more relaxed atmosphere. So in summary, please visit this gem of a restaurant. Fine dining, best produce, top service and highest of standards. The extra few € really are worth it.

Very delicious food, don't be afraid you will fall short here. We didn't notice that all meat was dry aged, so when it was served we asked about the color of the meat. The chef came to our table and explained everything in detail. We had a perfect evening.

Very good food in a cozy quaint but modern atmosphere. Super friendly service from the boss personally. Can only be recommended ?
